A. Prentice Ray & Associates, LLC is Hiring a Construction Security Technician Near Washington, DC

The Construction Security Technician (CST) will serve as the focal point for the assigned security project management, notifications, and monitoring. The CST shall have an active Top Secret clearance and be able to maintain the TS clearance throughout the life of the task order. The contractor shall provide notification of issues, concerns and recommended resolutions to the COR and monitor construction work. The contractor will also produce weekly and monthly project status reports. The required services shall be provided onsite at the assigned project location.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of construction experience and a minimum of three (3) years of construction experience directly related to Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities construction or physical security.
  • Knowledgeable and demonstrated ability applying physical security policies and procedures and/or Intelligence Community security guidelines and procedures.
  • Comprehensive experience and demonstrated ability working within the construction trades (electrician, plumber, carpenter, etc.)
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, push, pull, lift, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and make repetitive motions.
  • Subject to internal and external working environments which may include extreme cold or heat for long periods of time.
  • The contractor will provide a signed certification by the Company Security Officer to the status of the CSTs security clearance using the provided template.
  • Provide a full range of construction security program management, administrative, construction surveillance management, and construction surveillance.
  • Work closely with the assigned Government Site Security Manager (SSM) to ensure all established security policies and procedures are followed.
  • Under the direction of government staff, monitor the activities of all personnel on the Secured Site at all times.
  • Provide basic physical security in accordance with Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) policies and Intelligence Community Standard (ICS) 705-1, -Physical and Technical Standards for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities
  • Perform access control functions to prevent the entry of unauthorized persons, materials, and equipment into the site.
  • In accordance with documented security plans, perform in-depth inspections of construction materials, tools, and equipment prior to and after their use/installation ensuring all items are free of tampering and identifying all anomalies.
  • Document the construction activities of all persons on the Secured Site and report all security incidents that occur on the Secured Site to the COR
  • Provide other physical security services as needed.
  1. Task 1 – Required Services and Surveillance

The contractor will provide monitoring and reporting for the following services and/or events.

    1. Task 2 – Reports

The contractor will develop and produce the following reports:

  • Weekly Report:

The contractor will provide a report summarizing any issues and/or security incidents that occurred. The reporting period is from Friday to Thursday of each week. The weekly report is due every Friday at 1200 hours for the previous week.

  • Monthly Report:

The contractor shall provide a monthly report listing all issues and/or security concerns occurring on project sites for that month. Monthly status reports are due the first Monday of each month by 1200 hours for the actions that occurred during the previous month.
