As an Installation Security Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and supporting operational security and facility management electronic systems under supervision. Your responsibilities will include the installation, maintenance, operation, and testing of electronic security equipment. You will also perform routine technical security integration functions related to the support of security engineering activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and operate electronic security equipment as per project specifications.
Implement system testing and preventive maintenance programs to ensure the continued reliability of security systems.
Perform routine technical security integration functions, such as setup, operation, maintenance, modification, circuit testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic or electro-mechanical systems.
Assist in the development of security engineering activities by working with schematics, logic diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, and plans.
Provide end-user training on security equipment and systems.
Conduct conduit, cable, and fiber optic infrastructure removal and installation.
Perform testing, troubleshooting, alignment, and adjustment of complete electronic and computer systems, equipment, or components.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus.
Proven experience in the installation and maintenance of electronic security equipment.
Strong technical and troubleshooting skills related to security systems and electronics.
Knowledge of security protocols, access control systems, and surveillance equipment.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, logic diagrams, and technical documentation.
Effective communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
