A&P Payroll Management is Hiring a Regional Director of Nursing Near Buffalo, NY

Premier Skilled Long Term Nursing Corporation is looking for a Regional Director of Nursing (RN) for its Buffalo area facilities (approx.420 beds). We are looking for a candidate with long term care experience that appreciates the need for mentoring and training our Directors of Nursing to implement our clinical systems to bring the highest quality care and regulatory compliance to our facilities. This position participates in mock surveys for assigned facilities and may assist such facilities during annual and complaint surveys, including preparation and implementation of plans of correction. The ability to travel to corporate meetings on occasion. Regional nurse experience a plus.

Salary commensurate with experience

Essential Functions:

  • Assist the Corporate Director of Nursing in the development, maintaining, and implementation of nursing policies and procedures that conform to current standards of evidence-based nursing practice while maintaining compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Communicates and interprets policies and procedures to nursing staff, and monitors staff practices and implementation.
  • Assist Facilities Directors of Nursing in the establishing, implementing, and monitoring of the infection control program designed to provide a safe, sanitary and comfortable environment designed to prevent the transmission of disease and infection.
  • Oversees the development and delivery of in-service education to equip facility nursing staff with knowledge and skills to provide quality care to patients.
  • Collaborates with department heads, interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement and evaluate programs and services to maintain a high quality of care for patients.

Qualifications and Experience requirements:

  • Current New York State RN license
  • 5 years clinical management experience, in a long term care environment
  • 5 years DON experience is preferred
  • Experience with quality measures preferred
  • Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long term care administration.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • The ability to communicate well with employees and families about their concerns
  • Must maintain CPR certification
