A tight-knit and loving family of 4 seeks a warm, flexible, and proactive nanny for their daughters, ages 5 and 6.5 years old.

The position is located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and

Schedule: The general schedule is Monday through Friday, 12 pm - 7 pm. The family can guarantee 40 hours per week. Additional hours can be accrued with mornings and date nights.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide a safe, engaging, and positive environment for the children.
• Meal preparation, including lunches and snacks.
• School pick up.
• Taking the children to playdates, the park, and activities.
• Assist with homework.
• Keeps common areas clean, sanitized, and tidy.
• Engaging the children in age-appropriate activities, including reading, arts and crafts, board games, and indoor and outdoor play.
• Identifying when new items are needed, such as when the children need new clothing or when household items are running low; restocking household and child-related items.
• Bedtime and bathtime routines.
• Children’s laundry.
• Running errands and grocery shopping when needed.

Typical Daily Schedule: Arrive at 12 p.m. while the children are still in school. Empty the dishwasher, prepare the girl’s lunches for the following day, clean up the kitchen afterward, start the laundry, make the children’s beds and change bedsheets when needed. Bonus points for making the parent's bed. School pick up at 2:30/3 pm. Park, playdates, and afterschool activities. Assist the eldest child with homework help. Dinner. Bath and Bedtime routines..

The right candidate will be enthusiastic, patient, kind, thoughtful, engaging, proactive, and excited about contributing to and helping maintain a happy, structured, and healthy environment for the children.

Someone flexible with the schedule, and who is easygoing and can go with the flow, with a positive disposition and a team player attitude to prioritize the well-being of the children and assist the parents in running the household smoothly.

They will be organized and maintain the children’s schedules, have excellent communication skills, and seek a long-term position for at least the next few years.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of Full-Time relevant nanny experience working with school-age children.
• Upbeat, positive, and nurturing demeanor.
• 2-3 valid references.
• Fluency in English.
• Able to commit to at least a year.
• College degree preferred.
• Local resident.
• Must like dogs - the family plans to get one in the near future.
• Ability to travel - the family travels several times a year and would like the nanny to join them.

Compensation: / - $1200 per week.

Benefits: 10 paid vacation days, 5-6 sick/personal days, paid major holidays, MTA or toll reimbursement.
