A&M PREMIER Roofing & Construction is Hiring a Financial Controller Near Raleigh, NC

Benefits and Pay:

  • Salary ranges from 90k to 120k depending on the Controller experience.
  • Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Financial Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, regulatory compliance, budget and forecast preparation, and development of internal control policies.

Duties:

  • Arranges for audits of company accounts.
  • Directs preparation of budgets and reviews budget proposals.
  • Advises management about insurance coverage for protection against potential liabilities.
  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Advises management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax code changes.
  • Provides management with reviews of organization's financial status and progress in its various initiatives.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
  • Applies depreciation rates to capital assets.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
  • The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
  • Support month-end and year-end close process.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Establishes, or recommends to management, major economic strategies for the company.
  • Prepares reports which summarize and forecast business activity and financial position based on past, present, and expected operations. - Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance - Experience: 5-7 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CPA.
  • Proven working experience as a Financial Controller.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills (Sage, QuickBooks).

Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel.

  • Experience with financial reporting requirements.
  • Previous experience in public accounting is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
