POSITION SUMMARY:
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors and suppliers. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work within the company’s ERP system performing primary functions.
- Assist with month-end close.
- Perform basic but meaningful analysis for assigned accounting functions
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and maintain vendor files.
- Maintain and improve accounting controls by performing tasks in a quality and consistent manner.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of accounting principles and compliance regulations.
- Help ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial records through their own accurate and reliable work.
- Maintain confidentiality of all financial data
- Maintain an organized and well managed workspace, work product and records
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Associate or Bachelorette Degree in Business or Accounting or relatable work experience
- Introductory moving to Proficient knowledge of Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Accounting
- Proficient to advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office
- Priortize and perform multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Perform high-quality work on a consistent and reliable basis
- Able to complete tasks and deliver work product with reasonable guidance
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work at a desk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work overtime when needed.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and position up to 20 lbs.
- Must be able to constantly bend, reach above shoulder, grasp objects, climb, kneel, squat, twist and stand throughout shift.
- Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 - $21.00 per hour
