Overview

• Tier One Technologies has an immediate need for a Senior Oracle Developer specializing in Oracle Forms and Reports. This will be a 100% remote position.
• SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT.

Responsibilities

• Under general direction, lead and participate in the development and maintenance of database systems while also providing database development services to the development team.
• Review and provide technical solutions to projects which may be in different stages of the development life cycle.
• As part of consulting activities, produce database-related analyses and technical documentation to support recommended solutions.
• Perform all functional duties independently.
• Work on high-visibility programs, or mission critical aspects of assigned program(s).
• Oversee the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or is responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.

Qualifications

• A degree from an accredited College/University in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline is preferred.
• 10 years of experience in software development, database design, database administration, and/or related field.
• In-depth Technical knowledge of Oracle Forms and Reports, libraries, objects, menu.
• Technical expertise in writing and tuning complex SQL Queries.
• Technical expertise in writing and tuning PL/SQL.
• Expert knowledge of the Unix operating system and shell scripting.
• Technical knowledge of WebSphere.
• Technical knowledge of network firewalls and understanding of how they are implemented to provide secure enclaves to protect server and database resources.
• Technical knowledge of security certificates and how they are used to protect transmission of data between various computer devices.
• Experience upgrading both Oracle Database and OFM software, and knowledge of tuning them.
• Expert knowledge of Oracle database objects, triggers, packages, functions, procedures, tables etc.
• Knowledge of software tools to manage application development and testing – Toad, SQL Developer, Oracle Forms and Reports Builder.
• Extensive knowledge of and experience with designing, constructing, and maintaining large relational database systems.
• Extensive experience with Oracle or MS SQL Server DBMS, SQL Language, Unix/Linux including basic shell commands, data warehousing, report generation, job scheduling and monitoring tools, XML, HTML, open-source development, and technical documenting skills (Windows Office/Visio/Cvs, etc.).
• Expert ability to perform analysis of customer requirements and design technical solutions.
• Ability to perform project management functions.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes and management tools such as VersionOne.
• Knowledge of and experience in an IT Service management System (preferably ServiceNow) and ITIL processes.
• Experience training/mentoring less experienced personnel.
• Must be eligible to obtain a sensitive clearance – Position of Public Trust – and may be required to obtain a higher security clearance.
• All candidates must be a US Citizen or have permanent residence status (Green Card) or H1B visa.
• Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
• Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last 5 years. Military Service excluded.
