We are seeking a People and Culture Coordinator to join our team and help us build an inclusive and engaging workplace environment. This role will play a crucial part in fostering a positive company culture that aligns with our values and ensures the well-being and growth of our employees.
Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist with the onboarding process, including preparing new hire paperwork, conducting orientations, and coordinating training programs.
  • Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, such as team-building activities, wellness programs, and recognition events.
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify talent needs and assist with the recruitment and selection process.
  • Manage employee records and maintain accurate HR databases.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and general inquiries.
  • Assist with performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans.
  • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts by promoting awareness and implementing initiatives to create an inclusive workplace.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in HR and contribute innovative ideas to enhance our people and culture strategies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an HR assistant or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
  • Proficient in HRIS and MS Office Suite.
  • Passion for sustainability, climate justice, and racial justice.
