Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide assistance and support to individuals in need of personal care services. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping clients with their daily activities and ensuring their overall well-being. This specific position is for a child.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, including meal preparation, laundry, and cleaning
- Escort clients to appointments or outings as needed
- Implement behavior management techniques when necessary
- Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients
Experience:
- Previous experience in senior care, childcare, or assisted living is preferred
- Knowledge of basic medical procedures and ability to take vital signs is a plus
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques is beneficial
- Experience working in a nursing home or similar setting is an advantage
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and their families
- Compassionate and patient demeanor to provide emotional support to clients
