PRIMARY PURPOSE
The Development and Communication Assistant will support the Development Director with various administrative duties including basic financial record-keeping and outside communications including a monthly newsletter and social media management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Produce monthly reports of donors and prospects.
Provide and document annual tax acknowledgement letters for all gifts/donations.
Communicate with donors in person, on the phone, and by email as requested by the Development Director.
Process incoming and outgoing mail donations according to organization policies.
Ensure data integrity through accurate data entry and ongoing clean-up efforts.
Assist with the writing and editing of appeals, acknowledgements, donor news, reports, and proposals.
Monitors the grants and contracts execution process and keep documents organized.
Assist in planning and execution of annual gala and other campaigns.
Identifying and engaging with support agencies.
Distributing public relations and prospect materials.
Communication outreach to prospective sponsors, donors, community partners.
Grant prospect research and reporting.

Pay: $27-29/hr, full-time, overtime exempt
Schedule: Flexible, hybrid position (some work can be completed from home)
