Performs warehouse responsibilities, processes and delivers office products and wholesale furniture for client establishments by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Read tickets to determine items to be pulled, packed and distributed to clients; merge with wholesale products.
Separate and prepare all orders for delivery. Read highlighted lines and follow instructions.
Load delivery van in a safe manner that establishes an efficient delivery route. May be required to use power equipment, such as a forklift or pallet jack, to load the truck.
Make punctual and courteous deliveries to customers, collect signatures or money on cod orders. Establish a good working relationship with our customer base.
Pick up returns from customers according to return tickets and process merchandise and paperwork according to procedure.
Pick up cartridges for recycling.
Pick up orders from local vendors and return them to the warehouse for receiving
Maintain a good driving record, such that the employee can be insured under the Company’s insurance policies.
Performs pre-trip check of vehicles, trailers and cargo to ensure that mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working order, cargo is undamaged and all load-related documentation is complete and accurate.
Reports vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations or damage to vehicles as required per Company policies and procedures
Keep vehicles clean
Check in freight and stock shelves as needed.
Participate in all safety programs; perform all tasks in a safe manner.
Ability to prepare manifests delivery tickets within the DDMS system.
Ability to use Point of Delivery equipment to process deliveries with customers.
Supports Company/facility initiatives in daily actions and decisions.
