Position Purpose:
Responsible for various duties involving receiving, shipping and warehouse picking
Essential Functions:
•Receiving
Unload and receive material per company procedures
Verify count, condition and identification of materials
Label all incoming axles and mark with part number and date, stock in FIFO order
Report and notify appropriate personnel for all non-standard issues or events
Stock incoming materials in warehouse
Deliver MRO items
•Shipping
Band, shrink-wrap and stage units for shipment, and load staged units onto truck
Transport units from assembly to shipping area
Follow shipping and packaging work instructions
Follow sales order by dates to ensure on time delivery goals are met
Pick and pack UPS shipments
Process all dunnage to include scrap pallets and returnables
•Warehouse Picker
Stock all lines following daily build schedule
Restock items from assembly lines to warehouse
Use work orders to pick parts
Record all moves made before making the move
Communicate with floor supervisor and planning group to ensure accuracy and efficiency
•Daily Tasks
Check hot sheet daily
Report inventory discrepancies
Exercise safe working habits while operating machines
Keep machine and work areas clean and free of safety hazards
Comply with the Quality Management System
Regular attendance and other duties as assigned
Education and Training
•High school diploma or GED required
Minimum Qualifications
•1-5 years’ experience in a warehouse and/or manufacturing environment preferred
•Must be able to read and write legibly in English
•Must be able to speak in English via a two-way radio
•Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
•Forklift Experience Required – Sit down and Reach truck
•Computer skills and knowledge of MRP systems preferred
•Must be able to meet production standards and follow instructions
Physical Demands
•Must be able to physically lift 50 lbs. unassisted
Environmental Conditions
•Exposure to extreme heat and extreme cold while in the plant
•Fast paced work environment
Behavioral Traits
•Dependable and self-directed
•Ability to work in a team environment
