Position Purpose:
Maximize productive time of equipment. Improve the reliability and repeatability of production systems. Provide support to production associates as they assume greater responsibility for the maintenance of their own equipment. Coordinate and assist with the equipment installation and start-up.
Essential Functions:
· Comply with all safety standards and regulations.
· Complete periodical and incidental machine maintenance in an accurate and timely manner. Perform preventative maintenance as outlined on preventative maintenance schedules of equipment manufacturer’s recommendations.
· Plan and implement corrective actions in conjunction with management direction.
· Maintain building, equipment, and grounds in a clean and orderly manner.
· Assist in the purchase of maintenance supplies and equipment parts as required or directed.
· Help compile and write training material and conduct training sessions on manufacturing concepts and tooling. Interface with other engineering components within the company and with customers and suppliers on manufacturing related issues.
· Assist with new process implementations at the local plant level.
Minimum Qualifications
· Machining and welding capabilities strongly preferred
· Must have 2-5 years maintenance experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, lubricating and cooling systems
· Understanding of PLC’s, machine controls, HMI systems, ladder logic and power distribution, measuring and test equipment
· Experience with 480 volt electrical systems
· Must be proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical, electronic, fluid power, mechanical and plumbing systems.
· Familiarity with Fanuc, Siemens and/or Allen Bradley CNC Controls preferred
· Should be familiar with applicable regulatory requirements outlined by OSHA, EPA, NFPA, NEC and other state/local organizations.
· Computer literature, i.e., Microsoft-Office applications
· Must be proficient in analytical problem-solving techniques and possess strong written and oral communication skills
· Good interpersonal skills, self-motivated, and must be able to work with minimal supervision
