As a Payroll Manager at embecta, you are responsible for all payroll related responsibilities in the US, Canada and other countries as assigned. This includes processing payroll, managing Statutory taxes, special payroll deductions, reconciliations, and manages all payroll related 3rd party relationships including various tax agencies. This role will work in partnership with payroll providers to ensure end to end processes are successfully implemented to drive compliant and timely pay. Currently we have payroll in 30 countries; APAC, EMEA, LATAM and North America. Payroll Management: Manage and oversee end to end payroll processing. Hiring, training, and managing payroll staff Identification, mitigation and remediation of issues, findings, and control gaps. Ensure proper governmental reporting, compliance, and controls are established. Reconcile Payroll, bank payment and 3rd party vendor systems. Manage payroll vendor relationships and payroll tax agencies. Support and manage new payroll initiatives: Collaborate with cross functional teams. Partner with accounting team regarding cash and GL transactions as needed. Compliance and Reporting: Stay current with changes in payroll legislation and regulations to ensure compliance. Prepare and submit payroll-related reports to government agencies as required. Participate in audits related to payroll, including internal and external audits. Technology and Systems: Help with evaluating systems to enhance payroll processing efficiency and accuracy. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to streamline and standardize payroll operations. Basic Requirements: High School diploma required. 7 years of Payroll Experience. Experience using ADP and Workday. Preferred Requirements: B.S./B.A. in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field preferred Self-motivated and self-directed Exceptional organizational and time management abilities Strong written and verbal communication skills Team building capabilities.
