The Information Technology Manager supports a software engineering team to build and deliver high quality, innovative technical services that generates client or stakeholder value and competitive advantage to achieve Maritz Automotive business needs. This role will be responsible for the overall development life cycle of the solution and manage complex projects that support the company's strategic direction. Primary Responsibilities 20% Work with product managers/owners in developing a strategy and road map to provide compelling capabilities for our automotive based solutions. 40% Responsible for the overall development life cycle of the solution and manage complex projects with significant bottom line impact. Work closely with engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for product development while instilling best practices for software development and documentation. Assures designs meet requirements while delivering high-quality on tight schedules. 10% Prioritization, planning of projects and features, Stakeholder management and tracking of external commitments 30% Responsible for playing a lead role in career pathing and development plans. Monitors and manages team staff levels by recruiting, coaching and training employees. Communicates job expectations and provides performance feedback. Supports and mentors new managers in the department. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience preferred. 5 - 7 years of Software Development experience; 3 years of experience in building and leading strong engineering teams preferred. Deep hands-on technical expertise in mobile and web-technologies. Solid software development background including design patterns, data structures, test driven development. Knowledge of best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. Previous management of cross functional SDLC team members preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
