RGA is Hiring a Director, Marketing Technology Near Chesterfield, MO

Position Overview

The Director, Marketing Technology is responsible for executing on marketing technology stack optimization and adoption to support marketing functions globally and helping activate the Global Marketing’s strategic vision and priorities. This role supports Global Marketing by meeting the enterprise and regional technology requirements needed to deliver on end-to-end marketing workflows. They will be involved with exploring new and emerging technologies to ensure RGA is leading in digital marketing capabilities.

This role will be hands on in executing against strategy set forth by the marketing leadership team to evolve ways of working by considering innovative and agile methodologies while ensuring the appropriate technology is in place to drive marketing performance, allow for seamless gathering of data and analytics, and delivering an engaging customer experience through a multi-channel, integrated approach.


Responsibilities

  • Execute on MarTech roadmap set forth by Technology & Operations function lead. Develop and document end to end marketing workflow capabilities, opportunities and limitations of current stack
  • Collaborate with regional marketing teams to track a prioritized backlog of support issues; partner with technology teams and consultants to drive solutions in a timely and organized manner to maximize outcomes for regional teams
  • Own vendor engagements related to existing marketing technology products. Collaborate with various stakeholders to maintain an inventory of technology and service vendors. Maintain software license and third party vendor documentation
  • Execute on process improvements efforts in day to day operations of global marketing team and be hands on in setting up new process in the Microsoft collaboration suite; work to drive action within Global Marketing team
  • Collaborate with GSPO to ensure Global Marketing meets risk and governance requirements; oversee data security ramifications, proactively partner with compliance/risks teams to identify, and mitigate risks associated with marketing practices and technology; communicate and knowledge share with regional/local marketing partners.
  • Act as a trusted partner to regional/local marketing teams by proactively sharing marketing best practices, new considerations and how they might improve their marketing operation; manage and foster a productive spirit of alignment and coordination among global and regional offices to ensure consistency with all relevant RGA marketing guidelines and procedures
  • Support the Technology & Operations organization to direct/manage large scale, complex marketing initiatives; participate in annual planning cycle (budget and timelines), track, report and maximize global marketing’s budget, resources, and internal productivity.
  • Establish rapport and trust with cross functional and regional team members; share skills and knowledge to strengthen and foster a culture of growth and exceptional service across all marketing functions.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, technology or equivalent related work experience
  • 10 years of experience in marketing, technology, operations or related field
  • Experience in team management both domestically and internationally
  • Experience with technology software and consulting vendor management
  • Experience with leading security & compliance processes for 3rd party products

Preferred:

  • Experience working for B2B company or an agency/studio
  • Prior digital marketing experience
  • Experience with working with customers and teams in global time zones
  • Understanding of financial and insurance products

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Required:

  • Proven track record of successful enterprise level technology program planning, execution, support and leading adoption cycles
  • Exceptional analytical skills and organized in their approach
  • Innate appreciation for innovation and demonstratable experience with technology process improvements
  • Proven expertise in areas of SAAS and on premise software management. They will be involved with exploring new and emerging technologies to ensure RGA is leading in digital marketing capabilities
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge
  • Exceptional attention to detail, the ability to thrive in a team environment, and an aptitude for decision making and problem solving
  • Ability to quickly adapt to and implement new methods and technologies, work under tight deadlines and demanding conditions
  • Ability to set goals, multitask and prioritize workload, balancing detail with departmental goals/objectives
  • Advanced interpersonal skills to effectively work and direct executives and business professionals to translate needs and problems into viable/accepted technology solutions
  • Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines and work well with all levels of management
  • Understand marketing disciplines and tools including but not limited to: Customer segmentation; SEO; Paid search; Paid media; Social media; Email marketing; Lead generation; Database management; Websites
  • Proficiency in CRM and Sales Enablement technologies such as Salesforce.com, MS Dynamics or similar
  • Working experience in enterprise-level marketing automation or CMS platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, Hubspot or similar
  • Good knowledge of web technologies to implement solutions

The general pay range for this position is $101K - $137K per year. Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location.
