("Maxim") is filing an Application for Alien Employment Certification for the below described job description: Position: Senior Engineer, Product Engineering (Manufacturing) (San Jose, California) Duties: Manage new product introduction and provide production support engineering for a specific product or group of products after transfer from design to in-house or outsourced production. Interface with design, process, test, reliability, and manufacturing engineering to solve product issues and production problems. Develop and sustain process improvements to reduce production costs and increase yields. Determine the root cause of semiconductor product low yield, and lead initiatives to identify and implement corrective action to mitigate the yield loss. Drive future preventive action: improve and re-design manufacturing test solutions for released products. Leverage process fabrication and semiconductor device knowledge to ensure mixed signal semiconductor yield improvement. Perform failure analysis to identify products yielding below the company internal target. Requirements: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Engineering or related field of study (willing to accept a foreign education equivalent) and one (1) year of experience as an Electronics Product Engineer or related occupation in optimizing product designs and manufacturing procedures of semiconductor devices. Must also possess the following: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) developing and improving process flows for semiconductor fabrication and manufacture processes including spin coating, sputtering, Low Pressure Chemical Vapor Deposition (LPCVD), Reactive Ion Etching (RIE), Wet Etching (WE), photolithography, and furnace annealing; DE identifying and analyzing failure locations within semiconductor devices using Micromanipulator probe station, Thermo Fisher Scientific Scanning Electron Microscope, and Scanning Force Microscope; DE performing data processing, statistical analysis, data visualization with large datasets and different data sources, and digital image processing (including reading and writing images, image manipulation, filtering and enhancement), object detection, recognition, and visualization using Python and MATLAB; and DE performing failure analysis of analog/mixed signal integrated circuits leveraging principles of semiconductor device physics and transistor level analog circuit; looking up layout using Cadence Integrated Circuits(IC) design/layout tool or KLayout, and simulating semiconductor devices by Sentaurus TCAD software.
