This is a key change agent role reporting to the CFO and focused on working with multiple stakeholders across the enterprise to review and architect our data ecosystem with responsibility for building and driving data and analytics transformation. This also includes the implementation of business-aligned data governance practices that reflect our evolving business. The Head of Data will champion value creation through data and analytics, and data governance as strategic disciplines, will lead the review of and development of the data architecture strategy and analytics infrastructure to increase business agility and manage evolving complexities; and in partnership with the leadership team transform analytics and insights into action throughout the business. The focus will be on evolving data strategy together with managing the quality and value of critical business data to support growth initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES: Reviewing the current data ecosystem and subsequently supporting the next evolution of this function within the enterprise. Assessing, implementing, and managing data policies, standards, governance, and processes of data across the enterprise Virtually leading and partnering with technical and other teams to review the collection, storage, management, quality, and protection of data (in partnership with key stakeholders) Understand business needs and define actionable data strategies to support those needs Identify cost savings and increase revenue opportunities based on accurate data analysis Create business value by eliminating data territorialism Identify, create, implement, and provide our organization the tools and design to improve the capability of business processes that will increase the quality of output, help increase performance and decrease downstream process variation, which in turn will lead to defect reduction, improvement in profits, employee morale, and quality of decision making Define and socialize standards of uniformed and repeatable methodologies Institute enterprise data governance practices and fully integrate line of business leadership Develop high-level conceptional data models highlighting core business objectives and data relationships Create Model Risk Management processes and integrate into management tools Promote self-service data analytics and remove the need to rely on technology to complete data projects and provide the business community easy access to enterprise data where applicable Partner with the c-suite to be an influential voice, understand the needs and be highly responsive Understand all aspects of data processing, preparation, analysis, and presentation of information in an easy-to-understand format Dive into data innovation, organizational learning, future planning, vision, patterns, trends, and analytics maturity Enhance data quality through proper management, procedure, and data governance Develop easy-to-use searchable metadata layers to accelerate the development to business insights and analytical solutions Where applicable build flexible data visualization tools supporting both prebuilt views and associated filters Build a single source of truth for all data, leveraging across many distinct analytical models Apply accurate simulation and optimization platform capabilities to support business needs REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate will have experience working in a transformational capacity in the past within a consumer-orientated company and in working with key stakeholders to develop and evolve the data ecosystem, process, reporting and governance. 5-10 years experience in a senior data management role with proven experience leveraging technology resources in a complex financial environment Master’s degree or equivalent experience with a focus on data tools, process, and analytic reporting Established ability to communicate effectively with the ability to influence at all levels Experience working with data from multiple sources and organizations within the enterprise to create cohesive solutions and reporting Ability to build and manage highly successful teams and knowledge workers Thorough understanding of business and data strategies Capable of supporting a wide range of analytical research and model development activities across the enterprise Sound knowledge of enterprise systems and data structures Strong leadership and communications skills In-depth understanding of cloud data infrastructure and analytics architecture Track record of delivering insights and recommendations to business leaders Proven ability to work independently with very strong attention to detail Capacity to manage multiple priorities while thriving in a fast-paced environment Proven ability to work well under pressure, with strong operational rigor and within tight deadlines Strong project management leadership Strong conceptual analytical/problem-solving skills; sound judgment and demonstrated leadership skills NortonLifeLock is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
