Summary: The Part time Maintenance Worker works under the Director of Facilities to ensure the campus maintenance and upkeep and to ensure the safety and well-being of each client and personnel and maintain compliance with agency policies and procedures and established state and federal standards and requirements. Education: High School Diploma or GED required Experience: At least one (1) year experience in maintenance, with experience in general landscaping and general vehicle maintenance. Essential Functions: 1. Observe all agency policies and procedures. 2. Responsible for timely completion of assignments and adapts to changing workloads. 3. Assist with setting up tables and chairs for events when needed. 4. Maintain maintenance records of all equipment serviced and receipts turned in. 5. Assist when needed to complete lawn care. Measurable Deliverables: 1. Trash picked up from buildings and placed in dumpster when needed. 2. Light fixtures must be clean, free of debris, and replace bulbs as needed. 3. Checks all BVT vehicles weekly and fills with fuel or delivers to repair shops as need. 4. Assist with setting up tables and chairs for events when needed. 5. Complete assigned helpdesk tickets in timely manner based on priority assigned. Other Responsibilities: 1. Presents and maintains professional appearance and demeanor; adheres to dress code of position/work area. 2. Is courteous to all clients, visitors, and staff. 3. Other job duties as assigned. Credential, Skills and Abilities: 1. 18 years of age or older 2. Possess a valid Texas drivers’ license, work eligibility status, and have a good driving record. 3. Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request. 4. Must pass all pre-employment background checks including Criminal History, Employee Misconduct, Nurse’s Aide Registry, driving check and pass annual background checks. 5. Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screen throughout employment. 6. Capable and willing to learn the indicators of abuse, neglect, and exploitation, and appropriate reporting and documentation procedures. 7. Knowledge of standard safety management practices and principles. 8. Must be available for work scheduled after hours and in emergency situations as required. 9. Demonstrate the ability to: a. Use up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or a small amount of force continuously to move objects. b. Move assigned equipment from one location to another without assistance and operate in a safe manner while requesting assistance when required. c. Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl in small/tight attic space. d. Maintain all lawn mowing and grounds keeping equipment in good working order and help with making basic repairs. e. Operate or can learn how to operate tractor, lawn equipment, and other mechanical equipment. f. Safely climb, stand, and make basic/routine repairs on 6–10-foot ladders. g. Walk frequently and stand for prolonged periods of time; frequently required to squat, kneel and twist; and assist in some outdoor projects at times. h. Organize and prioritize duties/responsibilities efficiently. i. Communicate efficiently in both written and spoken form. j. Work under minimal supervision; exercise judgment and confidentiality. 10. Presents and maintains professional appearance and demeanor; adheres to dress code of position/work area. 11. Is courteous to all clients, visitors, and staff. 12. Capable and willing of gaining skills and knowledge of Residential Services, as it relates to regulations within ICF licensing standards.
