Education: Senior level undergraduate to graduate level student Experience: None Status: Un-paid Volunteer / Part time Critical Action Items: Establishes and maintains a trusting relationship with clients by providing regular contact and regular visits. Administer intake, assessments, and screening tools to clients and family members as needed. Utilizes intake and assessment results to establish and effectively implement Plan with goals and objectives. Records all services, activities in a concise and timely manner utilizing program forms and Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) software. Meets with Intern Supervisor on a regular basis to evaluate status of clients and families served. Measurable Deliverables: Document all interactions with clients and families on caseload on weekly basis. Attend all required trainings. Maintain current client records on weekly basis. Other Responsibilities: Applies working knowledge of parent-child interaction and child development. Maintains familiarity and knowledge of community resources and uses these appropriately to meet needs of clients. Assists clients in making and attending appointments for doctors, social services agencies, and other referrals as necessary. Acts as a liaison between clients and other community agencies. Understands the need to build these skills with clients to encourage self-reliance. Assists families with paperwork needed in applications for programs such as medical or financial assistance. Maintain confidential client files for assigned caseloads. Facilitates groups as needed. Other job duties as assigned. Requirements: Demonstrates knowledge of family dynamics, human development, family problems and stresses of parenting. Skills in crisis intervention, teaching, and listening, and basic problem-solving. Ability to recognize the need for professional intervention, to be non-judgmental, to be motivated to learn from direct experience as well as from training and supervision. Must have basic assessment skills and ability to work as part of a team. Ability to drive a car and have access to a vehicle during working hours. Maintain a valid driver’s license, car, and automobile insurance as required by law.
