Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal who specializes in family law, to join our legal team. As a Paralegal, you will provide support to attorneys by drafting and filing notices of filing, certificates of service, etc, preparing and drafting NTP and Rule 213 responses and disclosures, going over discovery, and assisting with case management. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and a solid understanding of rules within cook, dupage, lake, kane, and kendall, and will counties.
Duties:
- Drafting Notices of Filing and certificates of Service
- Draft 201 k letters
- Assist with document review and analysis and discovery organization
- Maintain case files and ensure all documents are properly organized and filed
- Schedule meetings and interviews with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in the legal process
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions
- Provide administrative support such as answering phone calls, managing calendars, and coordinating appointments
- Do Billing
Qualifications:
- Minimum of [3-5] years of experience working as a Paralegal or in a similar role
- Associate's degree or certification in Paralegal Studies is preferred
- Strong knowledge of family law procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity specific court rules in counties listed above.
