We're a small craft cocktail bar and restaurant off downtown looking to add a bartender for our busy patio season.

The person we're looking for is guest-focused, willing to maintain a clean and efficient bar, and is a natural craftsperson who has an eye for detail and a hunger to learn. We also do a large amount of full service food at the bar so having experience in food service is a big plus.

We're not necessarily looking for someone who knows a cognac sazerac from a rye and the historical reasons for each; but the right person will be willing to learn. If you are applying with little experience, please know that it makes the cover letter your place to wow us.

The position is full or part time, including weekends, and starts at 8 an hour, plus tips.

Responsibilities

• Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
• Attend to customers upon entrance
• Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages
• Take and serve orders
• Answer questions or make recommendations for complementary products
• Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
• Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
• Issue bills and accept payment
