Title: Senior Environmental Engineer
Reports To: Senior Project Manager
Department: Engineering
Location: Burlington, MA - Hybrid 3-days in office
Position Summary:
Are you an experienced and forward-thinking environmental engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to lead and shape projects in one of the most vibrant cities in the U.S.? We are seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to join our client's team in their Burlington, MA Office. As a Senior Environmental Engineer, you will be at the you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing effective environmental programs and strategies for some of the most complex projects across a variety of industries, including: clean energy, industrial, Superfund sites, transportation, and many more.

Responsibilities:
Project Management:
  • Take the lead in managing environmental projects, overseeing scheduling, and coordinating project resources to meet client and organizational objectives.
  • Ensure that individual task schedules, budgets, and client invoicing adhere to Company standards and client requirements, ensuring successful project completion.
Technical Data Review and Report Preparation:
  • Coordinate and maintain quality control for data collection and review of project results.
  • Interpret data and develop comprehensive reports for review by Project Principals, documenting findings and recommending remediation strategies.
Proposal Preparation and Business Development:
  • Collaborate in the preparation of project proposals and cost estimates.
  • Contribute to marketing activities aimed at expanding our client base and project portfolio.
Staff Mentoring and Training:
  • Play an active role in mentoring and developing junior staff.
  • Work closely with senior management to continue your own professional growth as a consultant and leader within the firm.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
  • A minimum of 7-years of proven environmental consulting experience.
  • Professional certification as a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).
  • Proficiency in senior-level interpretation work, including remedial cost estimates, future remedial measures selection, and costing.
  • Extensive experience in conceptual and detailed remedial design work.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Advanced data evaluation and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven track record of successful interactions with clients and regulatory agencies.
  • A commitment to supporting the technical growth of project and staff-level professionals through hands-on mentorship.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
This role offers a dynamic work environment that includes both office-based and fieldwork responsibilities. While the majority of your work will be office-based, occasional fieldwork will be required. Fieldwork may involve leading teams at various project sites, necessitating sample collection, monitoring, and subcontractor oversight. You should be comfortable working outdoors in various terrains, including occasional adverse weather conditions. Office work primarily involves using a computer and keyboard/mouse for stationary tasks.
