Paul M. Aloi, Attorney is Hiring a Law Office Receptionist / Legal Clerk Near Rochester, NY

Hiring Need: Full-time Receptionist / Legal Assistant for General Practice Law Firm

Location: Rochester – Brighton

Job Type: Full-time.

Schedule: Monday through Friday. No weekends. Eight (8) hour shifts, in-office only. No remote work available.

Skill Requirements:

- Minimum of one year of relevant experience within a law firm.

- Education: paralegal certificate; or bachelor’s degree in related field; or at least three years appropriate job-related experience.

- Excellent organizational, communication, analytical and critical thinking skills.

- Ability to work independently, prioritize workload and multitask.

- Exceptional attention to detail.

- Advanced computer literacy skills and typing speed. Must be able to both use and troubleshoot issues with basic applications, such as MS Office, without assistance.

- Patience and professionalism while dealing with clients both in person and over the phone.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with any of the following legal subjects: Real Estate, Debt Collection, Litigation or Evictions.

- Investigatory /Advanced Internet Search Skills.

- Ability to use and navigate NYSCEF and related Court online systems.

- Ability to use and navigate State and County online systems.

- Possession of a valid Notary Public license issued by the New York Department of State Division of Licensing Services.

Description of Duties:

- Greeting and directing clients coming into the office and over the phone.

- Assistance with general firm tasks such as mailing, opening files, copying, scanning and other duties as requested.

- Drafting and reviewing legal documents and correspondence including transcribing dictation.

- Communicating with appropriate parties, scheduling, and maintaining a calendar for deadlines.

- Conducting research to assist with pending legal actions, as requested.

Compensation: Compensation is competitive and will be commensurate with experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
