The Foundry Hotel Asheville, Curio Collection is Hiring a Banquet Chef Near Asheville, NC

Job Summary:
The Foundry Hotel Asheville, Curio Collection is seeking an experienced and dedicated Banquet Chef to join our team. The Banquet Chef will oversee all aspects of banquet food production and ensure the highest quality of food and service is provided to our guests. This individual will work closely with the Executive Chef to create and execute menus for banquets and events, while also managing a team of kitchen staff. The Banquet Chef must have a strong understanding of banquet operations, as well as excellent culinary skills and leadership abilities. This is a full-time, individual contributor role located in Asheville, North Carolina.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute menus for banquets and events, considering dietary restrictions and special requests
- Oversee the production and presentation of all banquet food items, ensuring high quality and consistency
- Train, manage, and motivate a team of kitchen staff, including providing ongoing guidance and performance evaluations
- Maintain inventory and order necessary supplies to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and banquet services, to ensure successful events
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Continuously strive to improve and innovate the banquet culinary offerings
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new techniques
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or hotel management team
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Banquet Chef or in a similar role
- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of banquet operations
- Proven leadership abilities and experience managing a team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of inventory management systems
- Must possess a current ServSafe or similar certification
