The Business Analyst – 3^rd Party Integrations assists to develop technical solutions to business problems by defining, analyzing and documenting custom programming requirements requested by customers related to Mobile Comm or Ancillary Integrations; managing requirements at the project level, helping to implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way and communicating clearly with all stakeholders, facilitators and partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

• Determines operational objectives by gathering information and evaluating output requirements and formats.
• Designs new software requirements by analyzing customer requests and writing specifications.
• Assist other departments with customer requests for backporting and custom programming.
• Documents requested coding changes effectively within Raptor work orders and on customer facing documentation i.e. a Statement of Work.
• Maintain continuous education on vendor integrations managed by the Ancillary and Mobile Comm teams.
• Attend Product Sprint Reviews.
• Make recommendations on custom programming designs to customers when needed.
• Communicate delivery expectations both to customers and development team members.
• QA test coding changes prior to releasing for customer testing (when customer QA is applicable)
• Maintain communication channels with Product team to provide recommendations for new release features for commonly requested modifications or ideas that could be valuable to other customers.
• Provide status updates to customers and internal teams when requested.
• Provide backport estimates to Inside Sales team.
• Modification review for Upgrades – Assist with modification porting and QA test where applicable.

Competencies:

• Ability to understand and communicate technical information both verbally and in writing.
• Knowledgeable in SQL, JAVA and XML preferred.
• Knowledgeable in McLeod Software products and functionality preferred.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office software as well as knowledge in SQL, JAVA, and XML preferred. Knowledge of FTP, SFTP and API communications is also helpful.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have efficient communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
