1. Completes all necessary copying, filing, scanning, and faxing
2. Opens mail, sorts it and distributes it to the proper person
3. Maintains and organizes medical records in our EMR database and paper charts in accordance with the Agencys protocol
4. Uploads progress notes into the EMR databases to allow for timely processing of payroll, contractor pay, and billing
5. Assist as needed with inputting schedules
6. Assist as needed inputting new patient information
7. Maintains confidentiality of all patient and staff information
8. Performs other office duties as assigned
9. Follows all Agency policies and procedures
JOB CONDITIONS
1. Position is stressful in terms of meeting deadlines
2. Position requires computer skills
3. It is primarily a desk job which essentially involves sitting, standing, stooping and walking, as well as an inordinate amount of telephone and electronic communication
4. Travel may be required, by car or airplane to local, out-of-town or state seminars, conferences or meetings
5. Regular office hours are required
6. It requires minimal lifting of office records and printouts
7. The ability to read 12 point and larger type is required
8. One must be able to hear adequately on the telephone with no more than an amplifier and be able to communicate both verbally and in writing in English
EQUIPMENT OPERATION
The job requires the ability to utilize a PC, calculator, multi-line telephone, and other related office equipment.
COMPANY INFORMATION
Has access to all client medical records which may be discussed with all management staff, including Governing Body.
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Should be a skilled organizer able to manage office files and office equipment
3. Must possess light secretarial skills and have a polite telephone manner
4. Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen
