Outreach Regional Manager Job Description (Regional Sales Manager)

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Outreach Territory Manager plays a pivotal role in spearheading sales and business development efforts across a designated region to enhance revenue growth and meet specific business goals. This position entails crafting strategic sales strategies, cultivating and sustaining robust relationships with key referral sources, and guiding a sales team towards the successful promotion and sale of healthcare services to the targeted market. As a vital leader, this individual is charged with driving the team to meet or exceed monthly sales quotas in line with the company's projected growth plans. This sales leadership role is centered on dynamic sales outreach, effective lead generation, diligent prospecting, and fostering new client relationships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Sales Strategy and Planning:
    1. Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy with the Director of Outreach.
    2. Conduct market analysis and identify growth opportunities.
  2. Team Leadership:
    1. Recruit, train, and lead the sales team.
    2. Set clear performance goals and expectations.
  3. Relationship Building:
    1. Cultivate strong relationships with key referral sources.
    2. Collaborate with marketing for tailored outreach campaigns.
  4. Business Development:
    1. Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships.
    2. Enhance agency visibility at industry events.
  5. Sales Execution:
    1. Actively engage in sales activities and monitor opportunities.
    2. Provide guidance and support for effective lead nurturing.
  6. Cross-functional Collaboration:
    1. Collaborate with departments for seamless service delivery.
    2. Share field insights to inform strategic decisions.
  7. Compliance and Ethics:
    1. Ensure adherence to regulations and ethical standards.
    2. Maintain professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
  8. Other Responsibilities:
    1. Utilize technology tools for sales activities and resource optimization.
    2. Perform other duties as assigned.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position may require traveling between locations in your personal vehicle.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position supervises Outreach Benefit Consultants.

Qualifications


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  2. Demonstrated history of effective sales leadership and surpassing revenue targets within the healthcare or home healthcare sector.
  3. In-depth knowledge of the home healthcare market, encompassing regulations, reimbursement systems, and industry dynamics.
  4. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  5. Proven leadership skills, including the capacity to inspire and cultivate a successful sales team.
  6. Analytical proficiency, enabling the interpretation of sales data for informed decision-making.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, as well as experience with sales management software and CRM platforms.
  8. Commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct in all business dealings.
  9. Outstanding organizational aptitude, adept at managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  10. Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitivity and discretion.

WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Ability to maintain focus and work efficiently at a computer terminal for extended periods.
  2. While fulfilling job responsibilities, the employee will regularly engage in various activities including standing, sitting, speaking, listening, and using hands and fingers for computer and telephone operation, typing, reaching, stooping, and kneeling.
  3. Specific vision abilities necessary for this role involve close vision due to extensive computer use.
  4. The position entails meeting deadlines and achieving goals, which may result in elevated stress levels.
  5. The role may involve home visits, standing, walking, and substantial telephonic and face-to-face communication.
  6. Minimal lifting of office records and printed materials is required.
  7. Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential, along with adequate hearing ability for telephone communication.
  8. Regular and punctual attendance is mandatory in alignment with business requirements.
