Nextant is looking for a driven Operations Consultant, Analyst 2 to join our client team. The main function of an Operations Research Analyst is to formulate and apply mathematical modeling and interpret information that assists management with decision-making, policy formation, or other managerial functions. A typical operations analyst is responsible for collecting and analyzing data and developing decision-support software.

Job Responsibilities:

• Formulate mathematical or simulation models of problems, relating constants and variables, restrictions, alternatives, conflicting objectives and their numerical parameters.
• Analyze information obtained from management to conceptualize and define operational problems.
• Perform validation and testing of models to ensure adequacy and reformulate models as necessary.
• Define data requirements and gather and validate information, applying judgment and statistical tests.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, statistics, mathematics or a related field required.
• 3-5 years's experience required
• Minimum 3-5 years experience with Excel.
• Minimum 3-5 years experience with Project management.
• Minimum 3-5 years experience with Budget management.
• Experience in operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, or data modeling
• Knowledge of the systems and tools has managed budget and expense tracking in the past,
• Basic knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning and resource allocation
• Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills
• Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time

Hybrid Position

Pay Rate:

The annual salary range for this position is 73,000.00 - $81,000.00 in Washington State. Please note that the salary range is a general guideline. Nextant considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills, and other market and business considerations when extending an offer.
