Southwest Community Health Center is Hiring a Project Manager Near Bridgeport, CT

Summary: The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful management of assigned projects, providing support to the team with implementation and execution of all program elements. The incumbent shall have responsibility to plan, organize, coordinate, implement, and evaluate programmatic projects from start to finish. He/she also develops and participates in planning for long-range strategies of the organization, recommends initiatives, and formulates major objectives.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: All duties are subject to accommodation in accordance with the American Disability Act (ADA).
Objectives of this role:
  • Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, by providing purpose, direction, and motivation
  • Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget
  • Analyze project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met
  • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders, providing frequent contact on project status and changes
Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards and assessing risks
  • Develop and track Key Performance Indicators for each project, providing regular updates to the stakeholders
  • Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables
  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Education and/or Experience:
  • 2 years of project management experience
  • BS/BA degree preferred
  • Professional certification in project management preferred
    Qualifications:
    • Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines
    • Proven success working with all levels of management
    • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills
    • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to organize, prioritize, and work on multiples projects simultaneously
    • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
    • Expertise with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

This position requires the manual dexterity sufficient to operate phones, computers and other office equipment. The position requires the physical ability to kneel, bend and perform light lifting. This person must have the ability to write and speak clearly using the English language to convey information and be able to hear at normal speaking levels both in person and over the telephone. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Generally, the working conditions are good with little or no exposure to extremes in health, safety hazards and/or hazardous materials. This person must have the ability to travel as required to work with staff.
