The Role
Production Demand Planner
POSITION SUMMARY
A successful candidate in this role will strive to enable production to meet to the demands of the business for a batch manufacturing plant with a product portfolio of ~500sku’s. Key tasks include developing specific production plans based on customer needs as well as planning raw and package materials. This role will work closely with the warehouse supervisor and his team to align stocking levels and inventory accuracy to balance budgetary and customer needs. The ideal candidate has experience in production, warehouse, supply chain, and/or procurement roles and is familiar with a fast-paced, chemical manufacturing environment. The candidate should be comfortable working closely in a team environment-specifically with a cross functional group including production, maintenance, customer service, supply chain, product management, and sales.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Use business forecasts, current customer service demands, stock policies, inventory reports, and experience to develop production plans for the Englewood site.
2. Continue to improve inventory control to minimize levels while satisfying customers’ requirements.
3. Develop a 7-day detailed schedule that production may execute successfully against based on equipment and manpower availability
4. Work with all groups to minimize the impact of any unanticipated deviations.
5. Coordinate manufacture of all make-to-order items and Made-to-stock items.
6. Identify and highlight slow-moving inventory to sales and marketing for sale or disposals.

9. Raw and Package material demand and purchasing based on incoming orders
10. Support purchasing of various production and administrative supplies Monitor and report out status of open orders within site’s ownership
11. Track KPI’s on inventory accuracy as part of CI
12. Job receipt and closing following production completion

The Ideal Candidate
Desired Background
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, production or procurement management, or related field
1 year of experience in management
3 years of experience in supply chain or production for the chemicals manufacturing industry

2. Due to the hectic nature of the position, you must be able to handle constant changes and upsets to the plan. Most problem-solving revolves around recurring scheduling changes and the ramifications that come from production problems affecting shipments.
