Description

Community Health Development Partners is looking for a skilled Assistant Accountant to support the Accountant Department with bookkeeping, clerical and accounting tasks. Duties include preparing company budgets, building and assessing financial reports and processing all invoices received for payment in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
• Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
• Generate reports detailing accounts payables status
• Understand and analyze expense accounts and cost centers
• Understands compliance issues around accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.)
• Record and reconcile credit card transactions monthly
• Provide cash outflow forecasting monthly
• Prepares 1099's at the end of the year
• Assists in monthly closings
• Prepares analysis of accounts, as required
• Assist with the pay app process
• Completes work with self-direction and autonomy
• Complete CAM budgets and track items for our real estate
• Complete other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Proven working experience in Accounting
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
• Proficiency in English and in MS Office
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
