The Role: We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with extensive experience in Java programming and a proven track record within Veterans Affairs (VA) projects. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about leveraging their Java expertise in complex, cloud-based environments to significantly enhance services for veterans.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Java-based applications within VA's project frameworks, ensuring robust, scalable, and efficient solutions.
• Utilize deep knowledge of cloud environments, including Azure and AWS, to optimize application performance and security.
• Integrate identity and access management (IAM) solutions to secure applications and data effectively.
• Collaborate with project teams to design and refine system architectures that align with VA standards and goals.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, guiding them in best practices and advanced Java and cloud technologies.

Qualifications:

• Extensive Java development experience, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Direct experience in VA projects, demonstrating a capability to navigate complex project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS, and familiarity with IAM protocols and security frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and proficiency in using modern development tools and practices.

Preferred:

• Experience with serverless architectures, microservices, and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Relevant certifications in Java, Azure, AWS, or IAM.
