Rolle IT, LLC is currently seeking a highly motivated and value driven Senior-level VistA Mumps Developer to join our team. In this role is responsible for MUMPs code development and maintenance in an agile lifecycle development environment. Complete development to implement components and/or solutions and provide time/resource estimates for assigned tasks or projects. Must have knowledge and skills to participate in or lead code reviews. The Mumps Developer must be able to test IT hardware, software, systems, and networks.Responsibilities for Mumps Developer:
Excellent experience with MUMPs
Strong understanding of modern software design and development methodologies (e.g., Agile, OO.)
Excellent experience on one or more full release project life cycles
Assists technical writers in obtaining technical information needed for competency development, past performance, and proposals
Develops code independently using the VPE Editor or Cache Studio
Writes System Design document (SDD) and Interface Control document (ICD) and other documentation as designated within the Veteran-focused Integration Process (VIP)
Leads and provides mentoring and guidance to less senior developers
Qualifications for Mumps Developer:
B.S. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related scientific /technical discipline
Strong ability to consistently apply quality and security standards
Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS, React, and Amber
Proficiency with server-side languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, PHP, and .Net.
Expert verbal and written communication skills
Experience with VA VistA and related tools (preferred)
Experience with ServiceNow (preferred)
Software development skills, including design, development, testing, deployment and support
Experience using an Integrated Development Environment (e.g., Eclipse, Visual Studio)
5 years of experience using Agile methodologies, system architecture
Ability to obtain VA Medium-Background Investigation clearance
Basic Qualifications
B.S. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related scientific /technical discipline
Experience with service orientation concepts and enabling technologies
Experience with Software Development and Implementation
Software development skills, including design, development, testing, deployment and support
5 years of experience in debugging and correcting errors in computer programs.
5 years of experience using Agile methodologies, system architecture
Ability to obtain VA Medium-Background Investigation clearance
Technical Skills
Experience writing code using languages such as (and not limited to) Java, C, C , C#, .Net, JS Node, PHP, CSS
Experience using software development version control (e.g., GitHub)
Excellent experience using an Integrated Development Environment (e.g., Eclipse, Visual Studio)
Experience using issue tracking product Jira
Experience with XML/XSD Information Exchange Package Documentation (IEPD)
Experience using IntelliJ IDEA
Experience with MUMPS
Experience with VistA
Experience with containerized applications and management systems such as Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShift
Experience with BPM tools such as Camunda
Experience with CI/CD process tools like Jenkins
Experience with any AWS technologies
Security Clearance Requirements
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an active Public Trust security clearance with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
