Position Overview
We are searching for a mission-driven and inspired Director of Marketing to lead our growing team. As Director of Marketing, you will be at the forefront of crafting and distinguishing our brand and product marketing in a growing market. To position Embold as the undisputed market leader, you will collaborate cross-functionally with key internal stakeholders. This role demands a blend of innovative thinking, start-up mentality, clear communication, and rigorous analysis.
As the Director of Marketing, your responsibilities will span across the organization. You will be instrumental in devising and implementing a holistic and innovative marketing strategy that encompasses product marketing, brand enhancement, and demand generation. Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Brand Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that encompasses product marketing, demand generation, communications, and operations to elevate the Embold brand. Define, develop, and enhance value propositions to our target customers, messaging, visual style, tone, and thought leadership efforts for the Embold brand with both internal and external audiences (B2B and B2C) as required, ensuring Embold stands out in a crowded space.
- Product Marketing: Develop, own, and oversee the product marketing strategy of our B2B product delivery that extends Embold’s products and services through key personas: employers, health plans, strategic partners, employees, and providers.
- Lead Generation: Establish targets for generation of sales pipeline and build and execute a plan to achieve those targets; leverage ABM methods to successfully reach and engage target prospect accounts.
- Growth Alignment: Work closely with Embold’s sales and client success teams to ensure marketing strategies and campaigns are fully aligned with sales objectives, driving demand and revenue growth. Develop sales tools and messaging to improve the commercial team’s ability to sell Embold’s products.
- Industry Expertise: Maintain and expand competitive intelligence of the policy, benefits, and healthcare landscape, key players, and trends to position Embold as a thought leader.
Additional Responsibilities
- Market Engagement: Leverage conference relationships to amplify our presence and engage with key employers, health plans, partners, and other healthcare stakeholders.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze marketing data and operational efficiency, adjusting strategies to optimize demand generation and market penetration.
- Vendor Relationships: Identify, onboard, and manage key agencies, service providers and vendor relationships. Manages these relationships and partnerships to budget and timelines.
- Budget Operations: Create, manage, and operate Embold’s marketing budget.
- Team Building and Leadership: Manage and build Embold’s marketing team; hold team accountable to individual and collective goals. Grow team members and guide each team member to success.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field equivalent required
- Minimum 7 years of experience in product marketing, brand development, and/or lead generation
- Minimum 7 years of experience generating demand using ABM targeting using a defined set of prospect accounts
- Prior experience managing a marketing team to success and growing team
- Inquisitive Problem Solving: Demonstrates the ability to ask penetrating questions internally and externally and challenge assumptions to refine and improve marketing strategies.

- Storyteller: Superior written and verbal communication skills leveraged to position a brand to various personas and stakeholders (both B2B and B2C).
- Proven experience in leading marketing in a healthcare technology startup or similar fast-paced, innovative environment.
- Demonstrable success across the full spectrum of marketing disciplines, including product marketing, demand generation, communications, and operations.
- Strong network and established relationships within key healthcare conferences and organizations.
- Understanding of the healthcare policy landscape, with insights into employer and health plan dynamics.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering strong relationships internally and externally.
- A balanced thinker who can creatively shape the brand’s story while making data-driven decisions to optimize performance.
Travel
