Data Scientist
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science and analytics with a keen interest in healthcare technology. You will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets to derive actionable insights, predict healthcare trends, and contribute to the development of data-driven healthcare solutions.
Responsibilities:
  • Analyze large, complex data sets to extract meaningful insights and inform company strategies.
  • Maintain and improve analytic models and algorithms to predict patient outcomes, optimize healthcare processes, and identify high-performing healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product managers, and healthcare professionals, to integrate data-driven solutions into our products and services.
  • Maintain the data pipeline in the CMS Virtual Research Data Center (VRDC) Databricks environment.
  • Contribute to new data features and methodology.
  • Assist with ad-hoc collaborative data projects.
  • Design and conduct A/B tests to evaluate the effectiveness of models and strategies.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and healthcare technology to continuously innovate and improve our offerings.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare data regulations and standards, including HIPAA.
Qualifications:
  • Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Scientist, preferably in the healthcare sector.
  • Strong knowledge of predictive modeling and statistical analysis techniques.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as R (main language), Spark programming (secondary), SQL (secondary) and Python (tertiary).
  • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data privacy laws and regulations is a plus.
