Summary/Objective: The Manager of Supply Chain is a member of the strategic leadership team and provides direction to the organization in meeting overall goals and objectives as well as growing and developing the business. This position oversees procurement, production control, receiving, shipping, and warehousing to maximize facility resources and capability utilization. This person will lead and optimize our supply chain operations to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and seamless delivery of products and services to our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for operating/functioning reflective of the company’s Quality Management System and customer certifications/flow-downs relevant to the position.
  • Responsible for providing leadership, communicating the plan, providing feedback, identifying/assisting in solving issues, and creating organizational structure.
  • Supports company policies, procedures, goals, objectives, and good manufacturing practices.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy to align with company goals and objectives while maintaining compliance, environmental regulations and customer requirements.
  • Leads organization in attaining key metrics, including working capital, inventory turns, days on hand, on-time delivery, and schedule adherence.
  • Oversee, establish, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, pricing, and ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
  • Responsible for the coordination of production capacity and material planning, purchasing, warehousing, and scheduling activities to maximize the manufacturing plan.
  • Establish and implement methods and best practices related to the systems and processes supporting inventory forecasting, purchasing, material control, and scheduling.
  • Oversee and collaborate with a diverse planning team to forecast demand and ensure products are available as they align with the production schedule.

Evaluate and develop opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.

  • Identify and mitigate risk in the supply chain.
  • Use data/analytics to monitor internal and external key performance indicators to meet or exceed company goals.
  • Guide and direct production control to maintain production schedules that maximize efficiency through lead time analysis, resource, and staffing capacity.
  • Manages the department staffing requirements; this includes scheduling, cross-training, interviewing, hiring, discipline, and performance evaluations.
  • Assists in the coordination and launch of new/revised products and processes.
  • Ensure all department policies and procedures are maintained and always followed.
  • Promotes 5S within the company and plays an active role in managing.
  • Drives and implements continuous improvements through lean tools, researching new technology, industry data, and developing resources to remove/manage the eight wastes.
  • Applies the cost/risk vs. benefit/reward concept when making decisions on how resources are allocated and consumed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Four-year business or supply chain management degree with four years’ relevant work experience in a management/supervisor environment highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in supply chain management with a track record of successfully managing and optimizing supply chain operations.
  • Must possess strong internal and external communication skills; deliver metrics and presentations as needed through public speaking.
  • Must possess strong internal and external communication skills.
  • Understanding of AS/ISO and EAR/ITAR requirements is highly preferred.
  • Must be able to work with little to no supervision after initial training period, showing a high degree of initiative and self-motivation. Must demonstrate consistently being a good example of providing informal leadership and excellent work ethic.
  • Experience with ERP systems, continuous improvement initiatives and manufacturing safety practices is preferred.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills, and problem solving/analysis abilities.
  • The ability to teach and train others in a coach or mentor role as needed.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of customer and company information.
  • Must possess strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Represents the voice of the company on and off-site.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
