Purpose of Job:
- Provide machining services for the production and maintenance group in support of production and facilities machine repairs and improvements.
- Performs set up of lathes, mills, grinders, etc for precision machining operations.
- Performs standard maintenance on lathes, mills, and grinders as per schedule.
- Works from drawings, sketches, and measurements to transfer information to proper machine setups.
- Utilizing a machine set up from drawings and sketches fabricates parts to specifications.
- Works with Maintenance Technicians to identify worn machine parts to fabricate new.
- Assists maintenance technicians in troubleshooting machine malfunctions, providing ideas for improvement.
- Fabricates components in a precision fashion to support proper machine operation.
- Maintains workshop in a clean, orderly fashion by 6S principles.
- Utilizes correct PPE at all times for general and specialized job functions.
