Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Specialist to join our team. The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for a variety of tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, customer/vendor account maintenance, order entry, customer service, and general administrative duties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Enter accounts payable invoices, employee reimbursements, and monthly expenses into the system.
• Review accounts payable check register and prepare check stubs to invoices for mailing.
• Apply checks, wire payments, and prepare bank deposits for accounts receivable through remote desktop.
• Create and maintain new customer and vendor accounts as needed.
• Enter orders for distributors, manufacturers, hobby shops, and race teams.
• Archive PayPal receipts for invoiced orders report, ensuring accuracy and identifying any missed payments, orders, or adjusted payments.
• Handle customer problems and inquiries received via email or phone, including declined cards, missing PayPal payments, customer order inquiries, tracking information, processing returns, and refunds in our accounting software.
• Monitor past-due reports and contact dealers with invoices past ten days old, as well as sending statements to customers and collecting payments.
• Perform bank reconciliations for accounts.
• Set up new files for accounts receivable and accounts payable, including creating file labels.
• Maintain filing for the accounting department, ensuring documents are organized and easily accessible.
• Order office supplies as needed to support departmental operations.
• Assist the Accounting Manager with other accounting projects as assigned.
• Provide assistance to other departments as needed, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Requirements:

• Full-time on-site work is required
• 1-3 years of relevant experience
• BS / BA in Accounting, Finance preferred
• Must be a reliable self-starter
• Strong organizational, attention to detail and time management skills
• Excellent communication, phone, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Experience with Sage or similar software a huge plus but not required (will train)
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Knowledge of radio control vehicles and hobby industry a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
