MegaKC, your local Kansas City General Contractor, has an opening for aSafety Managerat ourNorth Kansas City office! Our ideal Safety Officer candidates will be self-starters, problem-solvers, and possess the ability to work well with all levels of personnel on a job site.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ability to identify known potential exposures and recommend corrective actions.
• Identify, eliminate, and control hazardous conditions on a project that may lead to injury and/or property damage using job specific safety standards and best management practices.
• Conduct risk assessment and job site analysis to enforce preventative measures.
• Record and investigate incidents to determine causes.
• Control PPE inventory and distribute all necessary PPE for each job site.
• Provide, update, and maintain all site safety plans.
• Ability to handle and eliminate conflict on job sites.
• Participate in pre-job planning and start-up, Site-Specific Emergency Action Plans (EAP), etc.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid state driver’s license
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a drug screen and back mobility assessment
• Current CPR/First Aid holder
• OSHA 30-hour construction certification is required
• Minimum 7 years of proven safety manager experience
• BS/BA in safety management, engineering or relevant field is preferred
