JMA Pediatrics is looking for a qualified Medical Records Specialists aware of HIPAA guidelines to join our team.
The position is responsible for:
The medical record specialist will support the practice by processing inbound/outbound medical records with confidentiality in a timely manner.
Duties will include retrieving, preparing, and managing patient records to ensure accurate data for patient care. This will require excellent phone etiquette while reaching out to patients/parents and medical offices. The medical records specialist will work closely with our clinical team members to facilitate timely and accurate medical records needs, while maintaining a very high level of professionalism and customer service/patient satisfaction. The medical record specialist will process outbound patient requests in a confidential timely manner. Medical Record Specialist will support answering patient calls and appointment scheduling during high volume times.
Qualifications:
Previous medical record processing experience in a medical office environment preferred
HIPAA Regulations knowledge
Previous experience in customer service, phone etiquette and data entry;
Self-driven and professional;
Excellent typing, written and verbal communication skills;
Attention to detail and accuracy while multitasking;
