Well, Half Day Cafe is seeking a Line/Prep Cook to join the team at our Mason, OH location. Help us provide our guests with amazing service and a selection of fresh and interesting food for breakfast & lunch in a friendly neighborhood setting!

We're open from 7 a.m. - 2 p.m. and closed on major holidays, so no late nights in the kitchen or holidays spent at work instead of with your family!
No fryers or grease. Just delicious made from scratch meals cooked with care.

Line Cook/Prep Cook Job Summary:
*Includes a $1000 incentive if hired. The first $400 after 60 days, then $300 after 120 days, then $300 after 180 days.
Always daytime hours, normally out by 2:30pm. MUST BE AVAILABLE BOTH SATURDAYS & SUNDAYS !
Requirements/Qualifications:
We are seeking cooks of all skill/experience levels. As long as you love food and love working with it, we are willing to train the right candidates who show potential for excellence, but our ideal candidate will have:

• 1-2 years of full service restaurant cooking experience; breakfast/egg experience a plus.
• Be comfortable working with a team in a fast paced environment
• Proper knife skills.
• Current knowledge of culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
• Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

Additional qualifications and Perks :

• MUST BE AVAILABLE SATURDAYS & SUNDAYS . We are a brunch restaurant, so these days are our busiest of the week!
• Must be able to follow written recipes and order tickets
• Outstanding verbal communication and organizational skills
• Accuracy and speed in executing tasks
• Ability to work on your feet for 8 or more hours a day
• $1000 dollar inventive and NO NIGHTS!!
