Duties
- Greet and welcome clients and their pets to the veterinary clinic
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Collect and update patient information in the electronic medical records system
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with animal restraint during examinations and procedures
- Perform basic animal care tasks such as feeding, walking, and cleaning kennels
- Administer medications and treatments under the direction of veterinarians
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment for procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. They must also have strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. A genuine love for animals and a compassionate attitude towards pet owners is essential. Contact with animals and animal handling will be a daily part of this job.
