Who are we?

Franklin Falls Animal Clinic is a family owned, full service veterinary hospital which has existed in Indianapolis, IN since 2008. We primarily see dogs, cats, but will also provide basic wellness care for pocket pets such as guinea pigs, hamsters, and rabbits. The experienced staff prides themselves on adding personalized care to our patient services in order to have a positive impact on the lives of our patients and the families who care for them. We are a hard working bunch, focused on a team approach, who also knows how to have fun at work and we are looking for 1 or 2 more enthsiastic, experienced, technicians or assistants to complete our team.

We are seeking a friendly, dedicated employee with experience in the field of veterinary medicine, who wants to grow with our company. The ideal candidate will be willing to participate in all aspects of patient care and client education. Someone who has creative ideas and is interested in collaborating on ideas for how to deliver the best possible care and service to our clients will be a welcome addition to our team as we are always looking for new and innovative ways to improve.

What qualifications you'll need:

• At least 1 year of experience as a veterinary technician or assistant. Registered Veterinary Technician certification is preferred, but not required.
• Experience with gentle patient restraint, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthetic monitoring and documentation, medical record keeping, drug calculations, dental cleanings with radiographs, client education, radiographs, intubation, and basic laboratory procedures.
• Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients in person, in writing, and on the telephone.
• Flexible, adaptable, and able to work well both individually and as a team in a fast paced environment.
• Strong problem solving and time management skills.
• Ability to work late into the evenings 2-3 days per week. In order to balance this time, there are NO weekend hours required and each employee is scheduled with 1 weekday off per week. We do not board pet at our facility so there are no required holiday hours.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends

Application Question(s):

• Although our clinic closes at 6:00pm, this is not the time we actually leave the clinic. We work until all of the patients have been adequately cared for. There are times when this isn't fully accomplished until 9:00, 10:00 or even later. We balance this time by giving each employee a weekday off. Are you willing and able to work this sort of schedule?
