Vickery Place Animal Hospital is Hiring a Veterinary Technician/Assistant Near Dallas, TX
Job Description
Our focus is on being a place of comfort for our clients and pets, in sickness and in health. You will have the opportunity to reach your full potential as a Veterinary Technician performing all technical responsibilities to provide quality patient care.
- Intravenous catheter placement and venipuncture.
- Patient handling and restraint.
- Administer drugs (IV, SQ, Oral).
- Assist with radiographic procedures.
- Perform diagnostic blood, urine, and fecal testing.
- Provide care to hospitalized patients.
- Manage invoicing of patients.
- Client communication and education.
- Admitting and discharging patients.
- Assisting teammates and doctors as needed.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of veterinary care experience.
- Credentialed veterinary technician (LVT, RVT, CVT, VTS) preferred, but not required.
- Friendly and effective communicator.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 squirming pounds.
- Must be able to work in a veterinary environment with exposure to infection or contagious diseases.
