Product Strategy Technology (PST)

The PowerBI Developer's primary responsibility is to create and maintain enterprise-wide business intelligence visualization platform for clients and internal users. This resource will work in close collaboration with key stakeholders to design and implement optimum reporting solutions using best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Define conceptual, logical and physical architecture for business intelligence platform based on standards and best practices.
• Complete solution life cycle (SLC) process to gather requirements, design, develop, deploy and maintain Power BI visualizations and reports.
• Design and build professional, immersive, intuitive and impactful dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Setup and Configure PowerBI and connect with AWS Big Data repository
• Define security for the system and row level permissions for data access
• Develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with warehouse standards
• Configure PowerBI embedded analytics to integrate with React based application
• Migrate existing reports & dashboards to PowerBI platform.
• Enable business self-service reporting in alignment with "Insights as a Service" model
• Ensure the right information is identified at the right time and at the appropriate level for reporting purposes.
• Be accountable for the accuracy of the data through the execution of validation processes and testing.

• Ensure that the BI ecosystem is highly scalable, responsive, and available.

• Monitor, support and upgrade PowerBI landscape in Prod and Dev environments.
• Monitor reporting performance and implement necessary optimizations.

• Develop and update technical documentation.
• Provide technical support to members of TS and other teams, as well as project support across client engagements.

• Track, research and introduce technology innovations to drive modernization and efficiencies and improve functionality for authored applications.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of relevant experience and a degree in Computer Science/IT or related field

• Minimum of 3 years of data visualization (reporting & dashboarding) experience using Power BI including development and administration.
• Expertise in PowerBI suite of products including PowerBI Desktop, Power BI service, Power BI Embedded, Power BI Gateway, Power Pivot, Power Query
• Proven SQL experience including Big Data querying tools such as Athena/Presto, Pig, Hive, etc.
• Expertise in developing, publishing and scheduling Power BI complex reports, KPI scorecards and custom visuals.
• Experience defining BI models for dimensional and NoSQL environments
• Demonstrated experience integrating Power BI reports into other applications using embedded analytics like Power BI service (SaaS), or by API.
• Successful candidate will also have deep knowledge and experience in PowerBI Configuration and application security layer models architecture and implementing row level security
• Proficiency in DAX queries in Power BI desktop using advance level calculations
• Integrating PowerBI with AWS Data Lake is huge plus
• Prior experience migrating from other BI platforms (preferably Qlik) to Power BI is essential.
• Experience in Agile, Scrum methodologies required. Experience using Jira, Bitbucket are nice to have.
• Adaptability working with ambiguous / evolving business needs is key.
• Excellent relationship building, organization, collaboration, leadership, negotiation, adaptability, and time management skills.
• Engaging with people from many different disciplines and varying degrees of technical experience.
