Job Description:

A Product Management Director (PMD) works closely with DataDelivers executives to establish and maintaining strong partnerships with clients on behalf of DataDelivers. The PMD is responsible for the oversight of Data Delivers Client Management Platform (CMP) product from a product management and sales relations perspective. The PMD owns defining marketplace requirements and working with cross-functional teams to develop and roll out new solutions. The role is responsible for ongoing management of CMP client relationships and is responsible for ensuring successful execution of deliverables, providing thought leadership on strategic planning initiatives, and providing overall efficient account management. Executives responsible for client business are responsible for overall client direction, executive-level relationship management, strategic planning, business development, and industry insight. PMD works closely with product and sales executives to leverage this leadership, direction, and strategy in working with client in day-to-day interactions, identifying opportunities, and fostering conversations that lead to a growing relationship.

This position requires a passion and a talent for defining innovative marketing solutions and the ability to sell these services to the client. The PMD fosters a collaborative cross-functional working environment across the organization and mentors junior staff development across the Product Strategy and Technology Team. The role provides

  • oversight on customer requests
  • consultative direction during the sales cycle including
    • creating and enhancing existing processes and procedures for efficient and effective onboarding and execution
    • owning client issues until resolution
    • proposing product recommendations

This role will serve as the primary resource for the delivery and support of the CMP features and functionality, and as such, needs to have an in-depth knowledge of the full solutions and how client needs are met.

This position demands a high-energy individual who is a self-starter and able to manage multiple clients concurrently.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day product management support for all products and services. This includes development of product documentation, requirements documents, competitive assessments, and pricing strategy.
  • Leads in the creation of sales presentations, FAQs, and other product materials and documentation.
  • Participate in client proposals and RFPs, including identification of feature/functions to meet client needs
  • Managing the proposed strategy through Data Delivers Product Management process.
  • Work closely with TS and other support organizations within DataDelivers to ensure all costs are appropriately represented and market expectations met.
  • Co-owns the relationships with external data partners. This includes contract negotiation and governance, issue resolution, billing, royalty reconciliation, product feedback, engaging vendor sales support, and any other relationship management opportunities.
  • Interacts with Sales on a daily basis to support current sales opportunities and develop new ones.
  • Assists in the creation of test scenarios for prospects, facilitates testing/ POC process and interprets results to be delivered back to client.
  • Lead product planning for new / enhancement product and / or service ideas to support Sales opportunities. This includes market requirements creation and validation, prioritization, and development of solutions and all related support materials.
  • Supports Product Account Managers in the set-up and on-going fulfillment of client operations.
  • Leads account teams to coordinate sales opportunities.
  • Stays on top of industry trends, legal and regulatory environment, and communicates both internally to Data Delivers employees and externally to clients, pertinent information.
  • Leads/Oversees/Mentors client account team members who assist in the ongoing operational duties.
  • Works closely with TS and Data Sciences to ensure projects fit within Data Delivers CMP infrastructure.
  • Accountable for resolving client issues and proposing solutions for problem resolution; escalates to the appropriate Data Delivers personnel when necessary.
  • Project management oversight of all account projects and deliverables
  • Reviewing resource/budget management and communicating status to the client as needed
  • Oversight with Finance for invoicing and approvals
  • Mentoring and/or management of Product Account Managers and coordinators staff as necessary
  • Establishing working partnerships with primary client leads
  • Leading strategic client meetings and quarterly business reviews
  • Interpreting and leading client discussions on results and results trending
  • Driving business by ensuring key program goals are met
  • Taking responsibility for strategy, accuracy, and timely program execution
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage deadlines and prioritize workload and make adjustment to meet business needs
  • Establishing and maintaining account profitability
  • Managing internal financial data and forecasting as required
  • Oversee project plans, timelines and internal/client communications including status and next steps
