Cutting Edge Pediatric and Adult Therapy is seeking a highly motivated and passionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This position is for temporary hire for our Allen, TX ABA program from June 2024 through October 2024!

Cutting Edge Pediatric and Adult Therapy provides effective and individualized direct, consultation, training, and assessment services to parents and caregivers who support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We use proven concepts firmly rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to target the wide spectrum of behaviors that act as barriers to a child’s success. We believe that in order to reduce problem behavior, you have to teach the appropriate replacement. As such, we have a strong emphasis and focus on using positive reinforcement for skill building.

Key Responsibilities

  • Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst Licensure.
  • Undertaking any other duties as required by the Clinical Director.
  • Willing to work with clients from pediatric level to adulthood.
  • Engage and mentor RBTs and BCBA supervisees while handling a caseload of 28-30 billable hours a week.
  • Use appropriate assessment instruments and data to develop and implement teaching programs that reflect behavioral and other outcomes and objectives.
  • Ensures the implementation of treatment plans/programs, document contacts and observations; use professional knowledge and independent judgment to strategize continuous improvements.
  • Establish and maintain data measurement, collection, and analysis systems for clients receiving behavioral interventions. Maintain appropriate documentation and prepare and complete reports as required.
  • Ensure that all treatment plans and programs comply with contract requirements, satisfy all relevant insurance certification and other expectations, and meet or exceed professional standards.
  • Maintain highly organized, consistent, thorough, and systematic record keeping practices.
  • Seek creative options for ensuring the continuity and consistency of treatment and support services across settings for the lifespan of the client. Develop strategies for the stability of quality services when clients experience transitions.
  • Provide consultation, training, and assistance to team members outside.
  • Conduct structured periodic service reviews to monitor the effectiveness of treatment programs and their implementation; modify and document plan changes as needed.
  • Provide staff development, training, and modeling for team members in strategies and methodologies for working with children with behavioral, adaptive, and/or social/communication challenges.
  • Conduct in-service training, workshops, and presentations to develop skills and establish consistent practices across STEP programs of service.
  • Provide consultation regarding crisis interventions and critical incident supports.
  • Promote positive public relations, facilitate collaboration between all disciplines, and advocates for the establishment and maintenance of comprehensive services.
  • Participate in professional growth activities such as conferences, classes, team meetings and program visitations.

Qualification and Skill Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in education, psychology, or related field, with specialized knowledge, skill, and ability required.
  • Certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification board.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • 1-2 years of pediatric experience preferred, though not required.

Physical Requirements

  • Duties require extensive standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Requires lifting, positioning, and/or transferring clients, including the ability to participate in physical activities and play-based therapies.
  • May be required to lift up to a minimum of 50 pounds.
