Cutting Edge Pediatric and Adult Therapy offers ST, OT, PT, ABA, and counseling for patients, ages birth-30, in a highly collaborative and fun, sensory-focused setting. Therapists can easily incorporate movement and sensory activities into treatment sessions, using our engaging therapy gyms, sensory light room, and on our playground. Teenagers and young adults at our facility have the unique opportunity to work on daily living activities and vocational activities in our on-site apartment, mock grocery store, and our on-site coffee shop. At Cutting Edge, our focus is on therapy with a purpose.

As a Therapy Technician, you will be instrumental in supporting our therapists to deliver outstanding care to our clients. This role offers a unique opportunity for hands-on experience in pediatric therapy, fostering professional development in specialized therapeutic disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance to therapists and clients for their therapeutic specialties and sessions (Occupational, Physical, Speech, etc.). May accompany individuals to and from activities and sessions.
  • Help maintain smooth clinical operations by organizing, sanitizing, and restocking supplies.
  • Manage our on-site coffee shop by assisting clients in vocational skills, managing inventory, and handling customer interactions, which all contribute to providing clients with invaluable real-world experience.
  • Prepare and manage materials for therapeutic activities and general facility upkeep, ensuring a consistent supply for uninterrupted care.
  • Provide hands-on assistance to therapists and clients with behavioral or mobile difficulties.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to enhance and improve clinic operations.
  • Maintain an organized and tidy workspace.
  • Promote positive public relations, facilitating collaboration between all disciplines, and advocating for the establishment and maintenance of comprehensive services.
  • Follow strict adherence to healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA, to protect clients’ privacy and confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification and Skill Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Volunteer and/or work experience in healthcare, childcare, or other customer-facing roles is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including providing timely responses to internal and external communications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Bedside Manner that includes empathetic listening, encouraging communication, and client guidance.
  • Proficient computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, sit, and move throughout the clinic for extended periods of time in order to assist employees, clients, and manage tasks.
  • Ability to work at a computer desk station for extended periods of time.
  • May be required to lift up to a minimum of 25 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
