Commercial Insurance Specialists, LLC is Hiring an Insurance Assistant Near Tampa, FL

Our company is seeking an Insurance Assistant to join our growing team of insurance specialists in both personal and commercial insurance lines of P&C business.

The main function of this position is to provide customer service and administrative support internally to employees in both Personal Lines and Commercial Lines of P&C Insurance.

Insurance Assistant Responsibilities

  • Willingness to learn insurance industry (commercial lines and personal lines) through on the job training and must have at least a 440 license or willingness to obtain a 440 insurance license ASAP (paid for by company).
  • Responsible for daily mail retrieval, sorting and delivering internally.
  • Assist in printing of certifications when requested.
  • Assist in ordering MVRs when requested.
  • Answering/screen incoming phone calls and forwarding them to appropriate person within company.
  • Work with other internal employees and provide support to them when the need arises on both personal lines and commercial lines.

Please note: the following duties will NOT be performed until employee receives 440 insurance license:

  • Analyze customer’s complaints and recommend solutions
  • Discuss with customers on telephone and provide information on the company’s products and services.
  • Document all conversations with clients with details of inquiries or complaints and action steps that were taken.
  • Contact customers for updated renewal information
  • Take emergency calls from clients that have been involved in an accident, or have a need to report a claim.
  • Send newsletters, mails, and other forms of correspondences to customers.
  • Receive reports of claims and communicate reports of investigation to the clients.
  • Assist clients in filling of policy documents and contact them whenever any error is discovered, or when it needs to be corrected.
  • Maintain strong clientele relationship with customers.
  • Complete contract forms, prepare change of address records, and issue service discontinuance orders, using Applied Software.
  • Confer with customers by telephone or in person in order to provide information about products and services, to take orders or cancel accounts, or to obtain details of complaints.
  • Contact customers in order to respond to inquiries or to notify them of claim investigation results and any planned adjustments.
  • Determine charges for services requested, collect deposits or payments, and/or arrange for billing.
  • Keep records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as actions taken.

Insurance Assistant Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities and Education/Work Experience Requirements:

  • Have license or be willing to pursue a 440 Insurance license immediately upon hire.
  • Ability to work with multi tasking being a key component of job.
  • Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, including the ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Possess a bubbly and friendly personality as this position will be the first contact with the office.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with courtesy and tact among a diverse group of personalities.
  • Friendly and willing to provide assistance – ALWAYS.
  • A good memory for remembering data and details.
  • Above average computer and typing skills.
  • Must be punctual at all times and able to put in flexible working hours.
  • A good listener with sound judgment.
  • Ability to cope in a fast paced job environment.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under tight time constraints while maintaining excellent attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
